Where My Dreams Begin... Passion and Surrender

I have a dream... do you?

Have you ever wondered...

"Why did God choose me to fulfill this dream?"

"Why is the dream God gave me falling apart?"

"How do I know this dream was from God anyways?  Should I just give it up?"

I had a dream from God, and it did seem like it was falling apart, it just wasn't working out like I'd hoped.  But, I was afraid that God was putting my vision to death, afraid to listen to Him, lest He tell me something I really didn't want to hear... that this was the end of my dream for the time being, that it wouldn't be fulfilled to the fullness I had imagined.  The next morning, God spoke to me gently and in the most loving way you could imagine, through the Casting Crowns song He brought to my mind "Who Am I" and the Scripture I felt I should read, Psalm 139.  My prayer is that they will touch your heart as they did mine... that God will show you how you can live your dreams in both passion and surrender.  He brought inspiration and guidance for me to renew my vision, as I followed His promptings to ask others to stand with me in prayer against the opposition of the enemy - who wants to kill your dreams.  Will you let him?

Passion (for You) and Surrender (to You)... that's where my dreams begin.

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You Are

Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

Psalm 139

O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Aren'tcha Wired?...Drop me a line!<mapleafforever118@hotmail.com>

I have finally broken down and gotten a hotmail account (I'm a hardcore gmail fan) so that I am accessible via email for anyone who's visiting my space and wants to get in touch... I welcome positive and negative comments.  "118" stands for November 8 (2005), the day God really lit me on fire for Canada.
Plus, if you have a heart for Canada but don't know what you can do to make a difference about it, LET ME KNOW!  I can help get you plugged in and put feet to your prayers, introcucing you to some practical outlets that you can prayerfully consider, if you think God may be calling you in this area.  God's recruiting for his army... will you respond to the war cry?
